About Me
I split my time between counseling and my pottery/plant business. I've been making pottery for over 20 years, and I've been raising and selling houseplants for the past 10+ years. I feel very fortunate to be able to engage my head, heart, and hands in the various aspects of my work.
My journey to becoming a counselor is storied as I am an artist and entrepreneur at heart. Some of my past jobs include starting a record store, being a buyer for a national clothing store chain, making wooden bowls, managing a book store, and working in high-end interior furnishings. While my jobs have changed since graduating college, my pursuit of deepening my own understanding of myself and what is means to be human in our world has stayed the same. My own experiences with Jungian analysis and the Co-Counseling movement left an indelible mark on me, and it was the natural next step to get my Masters in Professional Counseling at TX State.
In my free time, I enjoy reading and listening to podcasts about all sorts of things, including mythology, history, archaeology, pottery, and Arsenal Football Club. I love the natural world and learning about it, especially the native plants and geology of Central Texas and other places. Although I'm not a musician myself, I have a deep love and appreciation for a wide range of music.
