Career Counseling
Most of us need to work in order to provide for our basic needs, but our jobs can be so much more than just a source of income. Work can be engaging, exciting, and deeply meaningful. It can build a sense of community and connection to others, and it can give us a deep sense of purpose. Work will be challenging at times, but it can also be wonderfully rewarding.
In my career counseling practice, I adopt a flexible approach tailored to the unique needs of each client. Understanding the pressure many face to secure a new job or make a career switch swiftly, I focus on equipping clients with practical job search skills that can be applied immediately. My goal is to empower clients with the tools they need to navigate their job search confidently while also taking the time to explore their individual strengths, interests, and aspirations.
For many clients, career exploration involves more than just a search for the next job. It might involve a search for deeper meaning and fulfillment at work, and the next step might not be so clear. In these circumstances, career counseling might involve more of an open-ended exploration of work values, personal values, priorities, and potentials. Together we can explore new areas and interests, play with new ideas, and explore strategies for creating a deeply meaningful and rewarding life at work.
